New paper in Aquatic Conservation throws light on the exploitation of threatened freshwater fish for the pet trade

A new paper published in ‘Aquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems’ throws light for the first time the impacts of freshwater fish collections for the aquarium pet trade. With Dr. Rajeev Raghavan as the lead author and long time lab collaborators, Neelesh Dahanukar, Siby Philip and Anvar Ali as co authors, this paper looks at the effects of unregulated fishery of the endangered Redline Torpedo Barb from the Western Ghats of India.
