WHAT WE DO
We are interested in the conservation and sustainable use of tropical aquatic biodiversity, particularly focusing on riverine and groundwater fishes, and marine elasmobranchs. Research comprises both field and laboratory components, and focuses on species discoveries, molecular ecology, population assessments, extinction risk and inland fisheries.
WHO WE ARE
We are a group of researchers based at the Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies, Kochi, India, comprising PhD candidates, Masters students and project associates. Our group is led by Dr. Rajeev Raghavan, Assistant Professor, and the South Asia Chair of the IUCN SSC Freshwater Fish Specialist Group.
