WHAT WE DO
We are interested in the conservation and sustainable use of tropical aquatic biodiversity, particularly focusing on freshwater fishes and riverine ecosystems. Research comprises both field and laboratory components, and focuses on species discoveries, molecular ecology, biogeography, environmental DNA, extinction risk and inland fisheries.
WHO WE ARE
We are a group of researchers based at the Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies, Kochi, India, comprising of PhD candidates, Masters students and project staff. Our group is led by Dr. Rajeev Raghavan, Assistant Professor, and the South Asia Chair of the IUCN SSC Freshwater Fish Specialist Group.
