Up to thirty undescribed loaches could be present in the northern Western Ghats

Rajeev Raghavan and Unmesh Katwate were involved in a study that indicates the high number of potentially undescribed hillstream loach species lurking in the rivers of the northern part of the Western Ghats Biodiversity Hotspot.
